Inés is released from prison after fifteen years for having murdered Charo, her ex-husband's lover. Her life has changed, but so has society: the advance of feminism, equal marriage and abortion laws, inclusive language. Inés, a traditional housewife for whom motherhood was not a happy experience, understands that she must be practical and adapt to the new reality. Even if it's hard for her.

She partners with the only friend she made in prison, La Manca, and they set up a dual business: she takes care of fumigation and her partner investigates as a private detective. Like a Thelma and Louise of the suburbs, Inés and La Manca face complicated situations, with the desire to reinvent themselves.

Until, unexpectedly, one of Inés's clients, Mrs. Bonar, proposes a very disturbing exchange; as if from the darkness of the past, the proposal could dangerously tip the scales towards the unfavorable side. But it could also change their lives.
