The Uruguayan, Pedro Mairal

Lucas Pereyra, a writer who has just turned forty, travels from Buenos Aires to Montevideo to collect money sent to him from abroad, which he cannot receive in his country due to currency restrictions. Married with a son, he is not at his best, but the prospect of spending a day in another country in the company of a young friend is enough to lift his spirits a little. Once in Uruguay, things do not turn out as he had planned, so Lucas will have no choice but to face reality.
