Human Sacrifices, María Fernanda Ampuero

María Fernanda Ampuero has become one of the indispensable voices in Latin American literature. Her book Pelea de gallos (2018) has been a phenomenon in the last three years, part of the creative, social, and political work of several women writers through their books. Seven editions in Spanish and several translations into different languages have made this book and its author a protagonist of this new wave. Her second book, Sacrificios humanos, arises from this social and political commitment in a context where any of us can be sacrificed, but it is almost always the same people: migrants, exiles, women...
